Looking at Olivia Katbi's face in the opening photo and thinking about the vibe she projects, I have to opine that there's a qualitative difference between leftist radicals and their extremist counterparts on the MAGA far right. They're equally driven and dangerous. Both sides seek to further extreme ideological goals. In my opinion, it's her face that captures the difference. It radiates a malicious hip slyness. There's a high level of guile in her that's absent among the linear-thinking, what-you-see-is-what-you-get activists on the extreme right. They may be secretive about illegal acts they're planning, but aims, sympathies, alliances and even their methods are an open book. Stephen Miller is too tortured to have held back on what makes him tick. Not so with the likes of Olivia. That's sneaky look she's wearing. She's the coolest kid in the crew by far. Watch out.

"Civilization Jihadist" responsibility which lies on the shoulders of Muslims and – on top of them – the Muslim Brotherhood in this country.

The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Proecess" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.

Olivia Katbi cannot rewrite Communism's global record: east Germans will remember the fall of the Berlin wall, Ukrainians the Holodomor genocide, and some Chinese the starvation of perhaps 10-20 million people during Mao's great famine. That is the global record that history will remember, not her illogical and angry rants...

I’ve been doing a bit of writing on this exact topic. On the whitewashing of Communism and the Trojan Horse of “just Socialism” that we’re seeing from these transparently Marxist-Leninist and Maoist groups.

They rode in on Bernie’s coattails but they do not want “Scandinavian Social Safety Nets.” From Thälman to today, they have always seen democracy as brand-friendly-fascism and liberalism as the slow death of the world.

They can’t actually win, but they can trash our cities with their tantrums and poison the minds of the next generation with their propaganda.

They can win, make no mistake. Only by telling the truth repeatedly and by fighting for the ideology & reality of Constitutional American democratic Representational Republic “Democracy” all the time, can we keep our freedoms and liberties. Make no mistake: “freedom isn’t free” is an accurate shorthand. That’s why they try to rewrite history beyond just correcting the record (eliminating the racism of the previous generations) and redefine words and expressions beyond reasonable interpretations: they want to “control the narrative” and “use history as a weapon.” And it works! Teaching the next generations from grade school (or even preschool) and up is exactly how they “capture the institutions.”

I guess my assertion is that they will never successfully swap out our republic for communism. But, like taking a car apart and trying to convert it to electric in your garage, after they fail we may have to spend decades getting the thing to run correctly again.

Ok, Rule 1 for writers: don’t use acronyms (DSA, CAIR, etc.) unless the first time you introduce them you spell them out in text and put the acronym in parentheses behind it : Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) or at least DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). That way your readers, who may not be as familiar as you with such organizations, don’t have to try to look every one of them up while trying to read your article. It interrupts the flow of your article. Sometimes such acronyms can also represent other words, things or groups and that makes it even more confusing.

Fabulous! So thankful you reconnected with your more Jewish self and became a powerful voice. And with gratitude, I thank you for showing the world how the corrupt Left has slowly but consistently joined with the haters and nihilists who see destroying Israel and killing Jews as an element of their march toward utter chaos and self destruction.

I was picket captain for my store during the 1994 Fred Meyer strike. Getting people to show up on the picket line is always a problem. Some people stay home to work on home improvement projects and others cross the line and go to work.

Nursing strikes are often about safety issues. Hospitals assign too many patients per nurse, which reduces the quality of care and stresses the nurses.

That the nurses are accepting help from assholes at the DSA does not mean they are assholes and that their issues are unimportant. I live near the NE Glisan hospital and the picket lines started out strong, but are beginning to thin out. I don't think they should be accepting help from the DSA to maintain their picket lines, but I understand how hard it is to get people out on a cold winter's day.

I appreciate this comment. It does help contextualize why our unions changed so much over the last 20 years. I maintain that if Portland unions continue to sell their souls to the DSA they will do irreparable damage to the perception of labor, but it has grown their numbers.

I just can't imagine Ironworkers bringing in Patriot Prayer to bolster their picket line. The unions are captured. I don't want to view them as "lost" but I also know it's an uphill battle to get sane, rank-and-file members to run for leadership and move them back toward the center of the spectrum.

The unions are so influential in Portland. They could be such a force for good. They still see themselves that way, and they don't seem open to criticism.

Here are some choice comments from Olivia Katbi. Wow! Does the ONA have any idea of her history?

-"Israel is an apartheid state."

-"The amount of power the Israel lobby has in this country is truly terrifying."

-"Zionism is an oppressive ideology."

-"The idea of a Jewish state in Palestine is rooted in colonialism."

-"Jews have appropriated victimhood."

-"Nazis were more focused on purifying the German race rather than the systematic extermination of Jews."

Honestly these are so mainstream at this point. It is noteworthy that she said all of that in 2018. She’s been saying this stuff her whole career and then the war begins and “suddenly” kids have slogans on day one. Wonder where they got them…
