"Palestine" is a club for social rejects, the disturbed and demented, the mindlessly violent, the hypocritical, the chronically moronic, the evil. No one in the West who wears a keffiyeh and waves around that off-brand Jordan flag is a decent, civilized human being. Not one of them.

Another exceptional piece.

It's scary to think that if you weren't writing these bangers every week, there would be virtually no record of this – at least not a single, cohesive, well-researched and thoroughly cited record.

The social justice wackos have long been the loudest group in Portland, but I remain hopeful that this city is actually dominated by quiet normies. How do we activate these people – the ones who go to work every day, pay taxes, maybe own a home, and are not interested in the social justice cosplay du jour – to become just a tiny bit more engaged with local politics?

I tend to doubt that many of my neighbors (except the keffiyeh-donning one with the 'ceasefire now' sign that went up in mid-october 2023) would vote for this insanity if they understood just 10% of what you shared in this one piece. Maybe I'm being naive, but I hope not.

My hunch back in 2023 was that the "Portland is a Schmidt Show" billboards were probably quite effective. They were big, well-placed, and got their message across clearly. I would love to see a similar campaign force our neighbors to confront the realities of our local pols, perhaps starting with the unhinged DSA councilors.

Most people in my district ask "Mitch who?" when I mention our DSA councilor. The key to taking these people down is making sure the DSA are household names.

You'll only increase their popularity with the <20% of Portland sympathetic to them, but those people already vote.

We need normal people to think of Mitch as "the communist guy who threatened PSU" not "Mitch something." 15,000 D4 voters didn't choose a councilor. We need to give people an easy answer. A bubble to fill out.

The DSA needs to be "the people who hate Ron Wyden and want to increase your taxes."
